Being a permalloy magnet principle cartridge you can replace the stylus when it is worn for a reasonable cost, and you can even upgrade to the boron cantilever stylus from MP-200 for even clearer high fidelity. A Stylus guard is included with the cartridge to protect it during transportation and when not in use. The Stylus guard is also sold separately should you ever find yourself in need of a spare.
